Writing can be lonely, but it doesn’t have to be. Being part of a writing community enables you to interact with fellow writers to share, ask, find, answer, inform, expand, and network. Check out our communities. You’ll find kindred spirits here.
Winners Circle
The Institute is nothing without its students, and we love sharing student success stories. The Winners Circle is where we celebrate our published grads and contest winners and shine a light on their accomplishments.
Writing Contests
Contests are a great way to sharpen your submission skills, stretch your imagination, and get your work out there. That’s why The Institute runs adult and kidlit writing contests throughout the year. Each contest culminates in a Winners Webinar where we announce the winners and critique the winning entries to help all entrants improve their writing skills. Plus, each contest has a cash prize for the top five entries. Check our current contests.
Connect with Us!
The Institute understands the power of collaboration and support — especially in the writing industry. Join one (or both!) of our two Facebook Groups: Institute of Children’s Literature and/or Institute for Writers. These groups are an excellent forum to share your best writing practices, new ideas, awesome results, seek advice, and get to know other writers and aspiring writers.
